Wanzl was founded in 1947 in Leipheim, Germany, introducing the self-service shopping model with only 3 employees at that time. Today, Wanzl has become a multinational company with 3,000 employees and is a leader in shopping carts worldwide. Other business areas include: store display equipment, logistics industry, passenger luggage transport services, and hotel equipment services. Wanzl Commercial Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. invested 15 million USD to establish a new factory in Songjiang, Shanghai in 2007, covering an area of 70,000 square meters, with an annual output of over 500,000 units, certified by ISO9000 and ISO14000, and rigorously tested according to EN1929-1 standards.
