“Shopping cart transportation equipment,” also known as “shopping cart elevator,” is a specialized device for transporting shopping carts in supermarkets. It works in conjunction with escalators to facilitate the movement of people and shopping carts within the store. It is easy to use; just push it without the need for staff guidance.
In 2012, ThyssenKrupp Elevator (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. successfully developed the shopping cart transportation equipment, applying for a total of 32 patents, making it a pioneering device in China. In the initial stage of its launch, ThyssenKrupp focused on opening foreign markets, successfully selling the equipment to countries such as Dubai, Egypt, and Tanzania.
In 2015, it made a strong return and began to promote it vigorously in the domestic market. Currently, there are over 300 projects in China, with implementations in major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, as well as in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Henan, Hebei, Shandong, and more than a hundred cities nationwide.
